Joe Roder, DVM, PhD, DABVT, Manager of Livestock Technical Services for Intervet/Schering-Plough Animal Health, discussed the interaction between infection and inflammation in Bovine Respiratory Disease (BRD), and the importance of treating the disease with more than a fast-acting antibiotic for best results.

Dr. Roder also outlined the long-term lung damage affects as a result of BRD to educate consumers on the importance of lung protection therapy.

Bovine Veterinarian magazine provided updates from the conference, including this video of Dr. Roder's presentation

A video of Dr. Roder’s discussion also will be made available online at the company's lung protection therapy Web site after September 10, and will also be available upon request.
