Compared to last week: No price trend analysis available due to limited
comparable sales, except on Medium and Large 1-2 Heifers weighing between 700-
750 pounds 2.00-3.00 higher. Quality was much more attractive this week as
prices reflected quality improvements. Slaughter cows steady to 3.00 higher,
with a limited test on slaughter bulls. Slaughter cows made up 10 percent of
the offering, slaughter bulls less than 1 percent, replacement cows 1 percent
and 88 percent feeders. Feeder supply consisted of 61 percent feeder steers and
bulls, 39 percent feeder heifers. Approximately 53 percent of the run weighed
over 600 lbs.
Steers: Medium and Large 1 few 272 lbs 238.00; 350-400 lbs 215.00-217.00;
few 448 lbs 205.00; 450-500 lbs 180.00-186.00; 500-600 lbs 173.00-180.00; 600-
700 lbs 170.00-170.50.
