Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 02/15/2013

   Confirmed:  1280     Last Week:  3372     Last Year:  5954

   Compared to last week:  Feeder steers sold 5.00 to 10.00 lower in a very 
light test.  Feeder heifers not tested.  Recent severe declines in both the CME 
futures and cash trade markets have hampered feeder cattle movement.  Recent 
snowfall has given some relief to wheat fields and grazing pastures also helping 
to keep producers weary of selling.  Demand light.  Supply this week included 
100 percent over 600 lbs and 5 percent heifers.  Unless otherwise stated prices 
are FOB weigh point with a 2-3 percent shrink or equivalent and with a 5-10 cent 
slide on calves and 3-6 cent slide on yearlings from base weights. Current sales 
up to 14 days fordelivery.
