NATIONAL BOXED BEEF CUTOUT
   Boxed beef cutout values lower on light demand and light to moderate 
offerings.  Select and Choice rib, chuck, round and loin cuts steady to 
weak.  Beef trimmings higher on moderate demand and light to moderate 
offerings.

  Estimated composite cutout value of Choice 1-3 600-900 lbs 
carcasses DN 0.82 at 189.10; Select 1-3 600-900 lbs carcasses 
DN 0.81 at 183.05; based on 66.06 loads of Choice cuts, 45.37 
loads of Select cuts, 23.66 loads of Trimmings, and 23.88
loads of coarse ground trimmings.

CARCASS PRICE EQUIVALENT INDEX VALUE
    Estimated carcass price equivalent value of Choice 1-3 600-900 lbs 
carcasses DN 0.41 at 176.86; Select 1-3 600-900 lbs carcasses DN 0.40
at 171.06.
   Current index reflects the equivalent of 153,813 head of cattle.

NATIONAL 5 DAY-ROLLING CUTTER COW CUTOUT 

   The Cutter cow carcass gross cutout value was estimated at 178.81
UP 0.36.

BY-PRODUCT DROP VALUE
   Hide and offal from a typical slaughter steer was estimated at 
13.75, UNCHANGED.

NATIONAL CARLOT PORK  
   Sales reported on 63.25 loads of pork cuts and NO loads of 
trim/process pork.
    Compared to Thursday's Close:   Fresh bone-in loins and butts
mostly 4.00 higher; sknd hams not tested; sdls bellies steady; lean 
trimmings not established. Trading slow to moderate, with moderate 
demand and light to moderate offerings.

   *Calculations for a 200 lb Pork Carcass 53-54 percent lean 
0.65" -0.80" back fat at last rib.* **80.55 UP 0.43.**  Loins bone 
in fresh 1/4 inch trim 21# DN-LGT 128.00-130.00; seedless bellies 
14-16 lbs 87.00;  16-18 lbs 87.00.
