IMPORT BEEF TRADE
Compared to Last Week: Market activity on imported beef was moderate
to active and prices for lean were mostly 1.00 to 3.00 higher. Sharply
higher domestic prices, strong demand and tight supplies continued to
support the import market. There were some concerns that the market
would be weaker due to the beginning of the Lenten season but tight
domestic and import supplies and continued strong demand pushed
prices higher.
