IMPORT BEEF TRADE

Compared to Last Week:  Market activity on imported beef was moderate
and prices were mostly 1.00 to 3.00 higher. Sharply higher domestic
prices, strong demand and tight supplies continued to push import
prices higher. Widespread flooding in Australia drastically reduced
slaughter numbers and cattle marketings.
