IMPORT BEEF TRADE

Compared to Last Week:  Market activity on imported beef was slow
and prices were mostly weak to 1.00 lower. Good demand and tight
supplies were offset by the weaker dollar and instability in the
marketplace. Widespread flooding in southern Australia continued
to pressure slaughter schedules and cattle marketings.
