IMPORT BEEF TRADE
Compared to Last Week: Market activity on imported beef was slow and
prices were 1.00 to 4.00 higher. Demand was moderate to good for light
offerings. Good demand for imported product and tight supplies
continued to support prices. Trading was at a near standstill early in
week due to the effects of Hurricane Sandy and its aftermath. Trading
recovered at week's end and prices strengthened.
