IMPORT BEEF TRADE

Compared to Last Week:  Market activity on imported beef was slow to
moderate. Prices were steady to firm. Tight supplies and good demand
ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday supported prices.  The meat from
the seasonal cow slaughter in New Zealand still hasn't entered the U.S.
marketplace. The Australian cow kill season is winding down as the
extended holiday season begins.
