Beef export sales have decreased for three consecutive weeks, but remain 3,655 MT above the 27-week low. Net sales were primarily to Mexico, purchasing 4,300 MT, followed by Canada and South Korea with 3,300 MT and 2,600 MT respectively. Egypt and Vietnam each purchased 1,000 MT. Sales decreases for 2,200 MT were reported for Japan.
Exports shipments totaled 15,684 MT last week, down 261 metric tons from the previous week. North American neighbors Mexico and Canada led the category with 3,500 MT and 2,300 MT respectively. South Korea received 2,100 MT of U.S. beef, followed by Vietnam (1,900 MT) and Japan (1,800 MT).
