Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 01/10/13
Receipts: 4,200 Last Week: No Sale Last Year: 2,159
Compared to last week: First auction of 2013 so cattle trend not applicable.
Demand good for all classes. Approximately, 58 percent feeder and stocker cattle; 8
percent feeding cows; 7 percent bred cows and heifers; 22 percent slaughter cows; 1
percent slaughter bulls with the balance misc. cattle. In the feeder supply, steers
made up 47 percent of the run; bulls 2 percent; heifers 51 percent; steers/bulls and
heifers over 600 lbs totaled 30 percent. All bred stock sold by the head and pairs
sold per pair, unless otherwise stated. All bred cows and heifers represented to
calve before May 15th, unless otherwise stated.
