Central U.S. Daily Direct Feedlot Slaughter Cattle Report as of 4:00 pm



Today’s Reported Sales Volume:   7,000

Today’s Estimated Sales Volume:  10,000



  Trading on Wednesday afternoon in Kansas is light to moderate on moderate 

demand. Trading in Kansas is steady to 1.00 lower at 143.00. Trading in Nebraska 

is light to moderate on moderate demand with a few sales at 232.00.  Trading is 

very slow in all other feeding regions. 

  Boxed beef cutout values higher on moderate to fairly good demand and light to 

moderate offerings.  Choice cutouts were up 1.19 at 234.31, while Select cutouts 

were up 1.50 at 224.15 on 213 total loads reported.  The hide and offal value 

from a typical slaughter steer for today was estimated at 15.70 per cwt live, up 

0.02 when compared to Tuesday's value.  Estimated cattle slaughter under federal 

inspection reported at 119,000 head for Wednesday.

more frequently during active trading periods.
