Central U.S. Daily Direct Feedlot Slaughter Cattle Report as of 3:35 pm



Today’s Reported Sales Volume:  none 

Today’s Estimated Sales Volume: none 

     

  Friday trading was mostly inactive on light demand. Friday afternoon boxed

 Beef cutout values are weak on Choice and higher on Select with light to

 moderate demand and offerings. Select and Choice chuck and rounds are firm.

 Select rib and loins are steady to firm, while Choice are weak to lower.  Beef

 trimmings are weak on moderate demand and offerings. Choice is .38 lower at

 251.79 and Select is 1.32 higher at 244.84 with a spread of 6.96. The hide and

 offal value from a typical slaughter steer for today was estimated at 15.58 per

 cwt live, down -0.08 when compared to Thursday's value. Estimated cattle

 slaughter for Friday is 111,000. Saturday's cattle slaughter is estimated at

 9,000. For the week cattle slaughter is estimated at 576,000.

on a voluntary basis. This report will be released at 3:30pm daily and

more frequently during active trading periods.
