Central U.S. Daily Direct Feedlot Slaughter Cattle Report Recap for October 9

  Trading and demand on Thursday late afternoon was moderate in Kansas and

eastern Nebraska.  Compared to last week in Kansas, live sales were mostly

2.00 higher at 164.00.  Compared to last week in eastern Nebraska, dressed

sales were 4.00 to mostly 6.00 higher at 256.00 to 258.00  Trading was limited

on light demand in Iowa with a few early sales at 164.00 live, and 258.00

dressed. All other trading regions were mostly inactive.

  Trading is slow on Friday morning as light to moderate inquiry in the Northern

Plains is prevalent.

and volume collected from feedlots or their representatives cooperating

on a voluntary basis. This report will be released at 3:30pm daily and

more frequently during active trading periods.
