Cattle and Calves: 2295     Week Ago: 1477     Year Ago: 2245

   Compared to last week:  Feeder steers and heifers mostly steady, except 800-
850 lb steers and 700-800 lb heifers 2.00-4.00 higher.  Slaughter cows and bulls 
steady to weak.  Trade active.  Demand good.  Bulk supply Medium and Large 1-2 
350-850 lb feeder steers and heifers.  Slaughter cows made up 16 percent, 
slaughter bulls 1 percent, replacement cows 1 percent, and feeders 82 percent.  
The feeder supply included 39 percent steers and 61 percent heifers.  Near 62 
percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.

   Steers:  Medium and Large 1  few 302-355 lbs 230.00-247.50; 400-500 lbs 
209.00-215.50; 500-540 lbs 192.00-199.00; 540-600 lbs 185.50-186.00; few 675-700
