Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 03/06/2013
 
Receipts:  11,204    Last Week:  1300    Year Ago:  9700
 
Compared to two weeks ago:  Feeder steers and heifers under 800 lbs 
mostly steady, however cattle over 800 lbs 2.00 to 4.00 lower with 
light to moderate demand.  Steer calves steady to firm with exception
f lighter weight grass type cattle trading sharply higher.  Heifer 
calves steady.  Demand remains moderate to good for calves.  wheat 
fields and pastures have received much needed moisture over the 
last week and warmer temperatures in the forcast should increase 
field conditions.  Quality was moderate to mostly attractive.  Supply
included 86 percent over 600 lbs; 41 percent heifers.
