Georgia Cattle Auctions Daily Summary
Georgia Livestock Auctions that were held Thursday May 3, 2012

   Cattle auctions at Americus (122), Calhoun (575), and Greensboro (367). 
Receipts Thursday 1,064 week ago 969 and year ago 1,408. Compared to one week 
ago, slaughter cows 1.00 to 3.00 higher, bulls mostly steady, feeder steers and 
steer calves steady to 3.00 lower, heifers and heifer calves 2.00 to 4.00 lower, 
replacement cows steady to 2.00 higher.

Slaughter cows 34 percent, slaughter bulls 4 percent and feeders 62 percent. In 
the feeder supply, steers made up approximately 45 percent of the run, heifers 34 
percent and replacement cows 21 percent, steers and heifers over 600 lbs totaled 
around 11 percent.
