Georgia Cattle Auctions Daily Summary
Georgia Livestock Auctions that were held Wednesday Jan 23, 2013

   Cattle auctions at Ashburn (604), Athens (557), Donalsonville (400), 
Jackson (297), Moultrie (480), and Washington (235). Receipts Wednesday 
2,573 week ago 3,147 and year ago 3,339. Compared to one week earlier, 
slaughter cows and bulls unevenly steady to 2.00 higher, feeder steers 
steady to 3.00 higher, heifers mostly steady to 2.00 higher, steer calves
and heifer calves unevenly steady to 2.00 higher, replacement cows mostly
2.00 to 4.00 higher.

Slaughter cows 13 percent, slaughter bulls 2 percent and feeders 85 
percent. In the feeder supply, steers made up approximately 46 percent 
of the run, heifers 42 percent and replacement cows 12 percent, steers 
and heifers over 600 lbs totaled around 23 percent.
