Georgia Cattle Auctions Daily Summary
Georgia Livestock Auctions that were held Thursday January 31, 2013
Cattle auctions at Americus (67), Calhoun (367), and Greensboro
(275). Receipts Thursday 709 week ago 1,324 and year ago 1,246.
Compared to last week, slaughter cows unevenly steady to 3.00 higher,
bulls steady to 3.00 higher, all weights feeder steers and heifers
unevenly steady, replacement cows steady to 2.00 higher.
Slaughter cows 25 percent, slaughter bulls 4 percent and feeders 71
percent. In the feeder supply, steers made up approximately 50 percent
of the run, heifers 27 percent and replacement cows 23 percent, steers
and heifers over 600 lbs totaled around 15 percent.
