Georgia Cattle Auctions Daily Summary
Georgia Livestock Auctions that were held Wednesday Mar 06, 2013

   Cattle auctions at Ashburn (900), Athens (714), Donalsonville (755), 
Jackson (455), Moultrie (600), and Washington (254). Receipts Wednesday 
3,678 week ago 1,194 and year ago 3,290. Compared to one week earlier, 
slaughter cows steady to 2.00 higher, bulls mostly steady, feeder steers   
steady to 2.00 higher, heifers unevenly steady to 2.00 lower, steer calves
mostly steady to 2.00 higher, heifer calves unevenly steady, replacement
cows steady to 3.00 higher.

Slaughter cows 13 percent, slaughter bulls 1 percent and feeders 86 
percent. In the feeder supply, steers made up approximately 55 percent 
of the run, heifers 40 percent and replacement cows 5 percent, steers 
and heifers over 600 lbs totaled around 20 percent.
