Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 05/25/2012
Receipts: 1965 Two Weeks Ago: 1400 Year Ago: 0
Compared to two weeks ago, on comparable offerings, steers and heifers
sold 4.00 to 5.00 higher on a thin test. Demand was good for all offerings.
Weigh-up was in the buyers favor most of the day. Today’s supply included 60
percent feeders, 35 percent slaughter cattle with the balance on cows/calf
pairs. Steers comprised of 67 percent of the run; heifers 33 percent with 95
percent over 600 lbs. Next special sale will be in two weeks.
