   Compared to last week, fresh cows and bred cows sold steady with moderate 

demand. Heifers sold mostly steady. Buyer attendance was down today, as many 

farmers are out working the fields prior to rain forecasted for later tonight 

into the remainder of the week. Wednesday's supply included 96 fresh milking 

cows, 34 short-bred cows, 35 springing cows, 39 short-bred heifers, 57 

springing heifers, 74 open heifers, and 10 bulls. One hundred percent of 

reported supply Holsteins unless otherwise noted. All sales sold on a per 

head basis.
