When compared to last Thursday`s sale, a heavier supply of higher quality
cattle were on offer and sold 2.00-3.00 higher. Demand was moderate to good
on active trade. Slaughter cows traded mostly 3.00-4.00 higher with lean cows
up to 6.00 higher with very good demand. Slaughter supply consisted of 340
slaughter steers, 120 slaughter heifers, 484 slaughter cows, 51 slaughter
bulls, and 8 feeder cattle. All prices per cwt.
Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1365-1605 lbs 123.00-126.00;
full/YG 4-5 120.00-123.00. Choice 2-3 1285-1515 lbs 120.00-124.00. Select 1-
3 1220-1450 lbs 118.00-120.00.
Holstein Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4 1410-1610 lbs 109.00-114.50.
Choice 2-3 1295-1550 lbs 103.00-109.00.
Slaughter Heifers: High Choice and Prime 2-4 1280-1495 lbs 123.50-127.00.

Calves: When compared to last week`s sale, Holstein bull calves sold
sharply higher trending 30.00-40.00 higher for number 1 & 2 calves while
number 3 calves trending steady. Demand was very good. Heifers sold firm with
moderate demand. The PA Department of Agriculture graded 349 head for this
Thursday's graded sale. One hundred percent supply Holstein calves unless
otherwise noted. All prices per cwt.
Graded Bull Calves: Number 1 120-128 lbs 195.00; 94-118 lbs
207.00-220.00; 80-92 lbs 150.00-180.00. Number 2 94-128 lbs 190.00-206.00;
80-92 lbs 160.00-175.00. Number 3 80-130 lbs 150.00; pkg 90-98 lbs 180.00;
72-78 lbs 80.00. Utility 60-110 lbs 20.00-40.00.
Holstein Heifer Calves: Number 1 80-105 lbs 120.00-180.00. Number 2 80-
