Palmyra - F and T Livestock Market

Feeder Cattle Auction for 07/07/2014



Receipts:  117    Week Ago:  1142    Year Ago:  88



   Compared to last week, too few feeder steers or heifers for a

price test.  Slaughter cows 5.00-8.00 higher.  Bulk of the receipts

cows with new high prices established in the cow market.  Demand

good and the supply light.  Cows and bulls accounted for 80 percent of

the run and feeders 20 percent.  In the feeder supply, steers and bulls

made up approximately 60 percent of the run; heifers 40 percent; steers

and heifers over 600 lbs totaled around 10 percent.



   Feeder Steers and Heifers:  scarce



   Feeder Bulls:  Medium and Large 1  Pkg 286 lbs 340.00.



   Slaughter Cows:

            Percent Lean    Avg Dressing  High Dressing  Low Dressing

Breaking    70-80          112.50-121.50

Boning      80-85          110.00-120.00  121.00-130.00 104.50-110.00

Lean        85-90



   Slaughter Bulls:  Yield Grade 1-2  1400-1900 lbs 125.00-134.00.
