Afternoon National Slaughter Cattle Review as of 2:00 pm Thursday
Thus far for Thursday, negotiated cash trade was moderate on moderate to good demand
in Nebraska. Compared to last week, dressed sales are steady to 1.00 higher from
194.00-195.00. Few early live sales trade at 121.00, however not enough sales for an
adequate market test. Last week the bulk of live sales traded at 123.00. Trade and
demand was light to moderate in the Western Cornbelt with a few dressed sales at
195.00. Trade was mostly inactive on light demand in the Southern Plains and
Colorado. The latest established market in the Southern Plains was last week, with
live sales at 121.00. In Colorado last week, live sales traded from 120.50-122.00 on
a light test.
