Slaughter Cattle Review - Afternoon

Afternoon National Slaughter Cattle Review as of 2:00 pm Thursday



  Trading was inactive in all regions on light demand Thursday up until the

Mandatory Price Reporting 2PM deadline. Trade activity then turned moderate

on the limited number of available supplies. Live sales have traded at 170.00

(which will set new record highs) in Kansas, Nebraska, and Colorado this afternoon.

Last week live sales in the Southern Plains and Nebraska were at 164.00, with

dressed sales in Nebraska at mostly 258.00. In Colorado a limited number had

traded at 164.50-165.00. In Iowa-Minnesota last week live sales were at 163.00-

164.00, with dressed sales at 258.00.
