Morning National Slaughter Cattle Review for Wednesday, 5/14/14

On Wednesday negotiated cash trade was mostly inactive on light demand in the 

Southern and Northern Plains. Trade was limited on light to moderate demand in the 

Western Cornbelt. Not enough sales in any region for an adequate test. The latest 

established market in all regions was Friday with live sales in the Texas Panhandle 

and Kansas sold at mostly 146.00, and a few in Kansas up to 148.00. Nebraska live 

sales were mostly 149.00, with dressed sales at mostly 236.00-237.00. Colorado live 

sales were 149.00. In Iowa-Minnesota live sales ranged from 148.00-150.00, with 

dressed sales from 234.00-238.00.
