Morning National Slaughter Cattle Review for Thursday, 6/12/2014



On Thursday trading in the Texas Panhandle was slow to moderate and in Kansas trading

was moderate to active with good demand in both regions. Compared to last week in the

Southern Plains live sales sold 3.00 higher at 148.00. The Northern Plains saw 

trading active on good demand on Thursday. In Nebraska compared to last week live 

sales sold 3.00 to 5.00 higher at 150.00 with some of these for more than two weeks 

out delivery. A few dressed sales sold from 236.00 to 238.00. Not enough for a full 

market trend. Last week dressed sales sold mostly at 232.00. In Colorado live sales 

sold 3.00 higher at 150.00. In the Western Cornbelt on Thursday trading was moderate 

on good demand. Compared to last week live sales sold 3.00 higher from 148.00 to 

150.00. Dressed sales sold 4.00 to 6.00 higher from 235.00 to 238.00.
