Morning National Slaughter Cattle Review for Wednesday, 6/18/2014



On Wednesday trading in the Southern Plains and Colorado was mostly inactive on very

light demand. Not enough sales for a market trend. Last week in the Texas Panhandle

live sales sold at 147.00. In Kansas live sales sold at 148.00. In Colorado live 

sales sold at 150.00. On Wednesday in Nebraska and the Western Cornbelt trading was 

slow on moderate demand. In Nebraska when compared to last week live sales sold 2.00 

lower at 148.00 with several of these for two weeks out delivery. Dressed sales sold 

steady to 2.00 lower from 234.00 to 238.00. In the Western Cornbelt live sales sold 

2.00 lower at 148.00 when compared to last week. A few early dressed sales sold from 

233.00 to 239.00 mostly at 238.00. However, not enough for a full market trend. Last 

week dressed sales sold from 235.00 to 238.00.
