Morning National Slaughter Cattle Review for Thursday, 6/19/2014

On Thursday trading in the Southern Plains was moderate with good demand. Compared 

to last week in the Texas Panhandle live sales sold 3.00 higher at 150.00. In Kansas 

compared to last week live sales sold 2.00 higher at 150.00. For Thursday in Nebraska

trading was slow on moderate demand. Live sales, when compared to the last reported 

market on Wednesday, sold 2.00 higher at 150.00. Dressed sales sold 4.00 higher 

mostly at 238.00, compared to Wednesday. In Colorado trading and demand were 

moderate. Compared to last week live sales sold steady at 150.00. On Thursday in the 

Western Cornbelt trading was limited on moderate demand. Compared to Wednesday's last 

reported market, live sales sold 2.00 higher at 150.00. A few dressed sales sold from 

233.00 to 240.00. However, not enough for a full market trend. Last week dressed 

sales sold from 235.00 to 238.00.
