Morning National Slaughter Cattle Review for Wednesday, 7/9/2014



On Wednesday negotiated cash trading in the Southern Plains and Colorado was inactive

on very light demand. In Nebraska and Western Cornbelt trading was limited on light 

to moderate demand. A few early live and dressed sales in Nebraska sold at 157.00 and 

248.00, respectively. In the Western Cornbelt a few early live sales sold from 156.00 

to 157.00. However, not enough sales for a market trend in any feeding region. Last 

week in the Southern Plains live sales sold at 158.00. In Nebraska live sales sold 

mostly at 159.00 and dressed sales at 250.00. In Colorado live sales sold from 

158.00-159.00. In the Western Cornbelt live sales sold from 154.00-159.00 and dressed 

sales sold from 248.00-250.00.
