Morning National Slaughter Cattle Review for Friday, 7/18/14



On Friday negotiated cash trade was mostly inactive on light demand in the Texas 

Panhandle. Few live sales have sold this week at 155.00, however not enough for an 

adequate market test. The latest established market was last week from 155.00-156.00. 

Trade was inactive on light demand in Kansas and Colorado on Friday. On Wednesday 

live sales sold from 155.00-156.00 in Kansas and from 156.00-157.50 in Colorado. 

Trade was light on moderate demand in Nebraska and Colorado. In Nebraska compared to 

the bulk of Thursday's live sales, few sold 2.00 higher at 158.00. On Thursday 

dressed sales sold from 246.00-248.00. In the Western Cornbelt compared to Thursday, 

live sales sold mostly steady to firm from 155.00-157.00 with dressed sales steady 

from 246.00-247.00.
