Morning National Slaughter Cattle Review for Tuesday, 7/22/14



On Tuesday negotiated cash trade was limited on light to moderate demand in Nebraska 

and the Western Cornbelt. Few early dressed sales sold at 255.00 however not enough 

sales for an adequate market test. In Nebraska for the previous week, the bulk of 

live sales sold at 156.00 with dressed sales from 246.00-248.00. In the Western 

Cornbelt last week, the bulk of live sales sold from 155.00-156.00 with dressed sales 

from 246.00-248.00. Trade was mostly inactive on light demand in the Southern Plains 

and Colorado. The latest established market in the Texas Panhandle was two weeks 

ago with live sales from 155.00-156.00. Last week in Kansas live sales sold from 

155.00-156.00. In Colorado last week, live sales sold from 156.00-157.50.
