Morning National Slaughter Cattle Review for Thursday, 7/31/14



On Thursday negotiated cash trade was mostly inactive on light to moderate demand in 

the Southern Plains. In the Texas Panhandle last week a few live sales sold at 

162.00. In Kansas last week, live sales sold from 162.00-165.00. Trade was light on 

light to moderate demand in Nebraska and the Western Cornbelt on Thursday however not 

enough sales for an adequate market test. In Nebraska a few early live sales with 

greater than two week delivery sold at 163.00. Last week live sales sold mostly at 

165.00 with dressed sales mostly from 255.00-257.00. Last week in the Western 

Cornbelt, live sales sold mostly from 160.00-162.00 with dressed sales mostly from 

254.00-255.00. In Colorado on Thursday trade was limited on light to moderate demand. 

Last week live sales sold from 165.00-166.00.
