Morning National Slaughter Cattle Review for Tuesday, 8/12/14



On Tuesday negotiated cash trade was moderate on light to moderate demand in 

Nebraska. Compared to last week, early live sales sold 3.00-9.00 lower at 155.00 with 

those sales having further than two week out delivery. Dressed sales sold 4.00-5.00 

lower from 245.00-248.00 with 245.00 sales having further than two week out delivery. 

In the Western Cornbelt trade and demand were light to moderate. Compared to last 

week, early live sales sold 2.00-5.50 lower at 155.00. Dressed sales sold steady to 

2.00 lower mostly at 248.00. Trade was mostly inactive on light demand in the 

Southern Plains and Colorado. The latest established market in the Texas Panhandle 

was last week, with live sales from 158.00-160.00. In Kansas for the previous week, 

live sales sold at 160.00. In Colorado last week, live sales sold from 160.00-160.50.
