Morning National Slaughter Cattle Review for Wednesday, 8/13/14



On Wednesday negotiated cash trade was moderate on light to moderate demand in 

Kansas, Nebraska and the Western Cornbelt. In Kansas compared to last week, live 

sales sold 5.00 lower at 155.00. In Nebraska compared to Tuesday, live sales sold 

steady to 3.00 lower from 152.00-155.00 with 152.00-154.00 sales having further than 

two week out delivery. Compared to Tuesday dressed sales sold 1.00-4.00 lower mostly 

at 244.00. In the Western Cornbelt compared to Tuesday, live sales sold 1.00 lower at 

154.00. Dressed sales sold mostly 8.00 lower from 240.00-243.00 with the bulk of 

sales at 240.00 and those sales having further than two week out delivery. Trade was 

mostly inactive on light demand in the Texas Panhandle and Colorado. Last week in the 

Texas Panhandle live sales sold from 158.00-160.00 and from 160.00-160.50 in 

Colorado.
