Morning National Slaughter Cattle Review for Thursday, 8/28/14

On Thursday negotiated cash trade was mostly inactive on light to moderate demand in 

the Southern Plains. Last week in the Texas Panhandle live sale sold at 152.00. In 

Kansas for the previous week, live sales sold from 152.00-153.00. On Thursday, 

negotiated cash trade was limited on light to moderate demand in the Northern Plains 

and Western Cornbelt. In the Northern Plains, few early live sales at 155.00 however, 

not enough sales for an adequate market test. Last week in Nebraska live sales sold 

from 152.00-155.50 with dressed sales mostly at 242.00. In Colorado last week, live 

sales sold at 155.00. In the Western Cornbelt last week, live sales sold at 153.00 

with dressed sales at 242.00.
