Morning National Slaughter Cattle Review for Wednesday, 9/10/14

On Wednesday negotiated cash trade inactive on light demand in the Southern and 

Northern Plains with very limited trade on light demand in the Western Cornbelt. Not 

enough sales in any region for an adequate market test. The latest established market 

in all areas was last Friday with sales in the Texas Panhandle at 161.00-163.00. In 

Kansas live sales were at 163.00 and dressed sales at 256.50. In Nebraska last week, 

live sales ranged from 160.00-164.00, and dressed sales from 250.00-252.00. In 

Colorado live sales traded at 164.00. In the Western Cornbelt, live sales traded from 

158.00-160.00, and dressed sales were mostly at 250.00 with a few up to 252.00.
