Morning National Slaughter Cattle Review for Thursday, 9/11/14



On Thursday negotiated cash trade was light on light to moderate demand in Kansas and 

Nebraska. In Kansas few early dressed sales sold at 254.00. Last week in Kansas live 

sales sold at 163.00. In Nebraska few early dressed sales sold at 250.00, however not 

enough sales for an adequate market test. Last week live sales sold from 160.00-

164.00 with dressed sales from 250.00-252.00. In the Western Cornbelt on Thursday 

trade and demand was light to moderate. Compared to last week few early live sales 

traded steady from 158.00-160.00. Early dressed sales compared to the bulk of last 

week sold steady to 2.00 lower from 248.00-250.00. Trade was inactive on light demand 

in the Texas Panhandle and Colorado. Last week in the Texas Panhandle live sales sold 

from 161.00-163.00. In Colorado last week, live sales sold at 164.00.
