Morning National Slaughter Cattle Review for Friday, 9/12/2014



On Friday in Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa/Minnesota trading was moderate with light to

moderate demand. Compared to last week in Kansas live sales sold 1.00 to 2.00 lower

from 161.00 to 162.00. In Nebraska, compared to last week, live sales sold unevely

steady at 163.00. Dressed sales sold 2.00 lower from 248.00 to 250.00. Compared to

Thursday, the last reported market, in Iowa/Minnesota both live and dressed sales

sold steady. Live sales sold from 158.00 to 160.00 and dressed sales sold from

248.00 to 250.00. In Colorado on Friday trading and demand were moderate. Compared

to last week live sales sold 1.00 lower at 163.00. On Friday in the Texas Panhandle

a very limited test of available negotiated cash beef type cattle sold from 161.00-

162.00.
