Morning National Slaughter Cattle Review for Friday, 9/19/14



On Friday negotiated cash trade and demand was light to moderate in Kansas, Nebraska 

and the Western Cornbelt. In Kansas compared to last week, live sales sold 2.00-3.00 

lower at 159.00. In Nebraska compared to last week, live sales sold 4.00-8.00 lower 

from 155.00-159.00. Dressed sales sold 3.00-5.00 lower from 244.00-246.00 with the 

bulk at 245.00. In the Western Cornbelt compared to last week, live and dressed sales 

sold 4.00-5.00 lower from 154.00-155.00 and from 244.00-245.00. On Friday a limited 

test of available negotiated cash sales, sold in the Texas Panhandle and Colorado. 

Live sales sold 2.00-3.00 lower in the Texas Panhandle and 4.00 lower in Colorado at 

159.00.
