Morning National Slaughter Cattle Review for Friday, 9/26/2014



Friday trading in the Southern Plains was mostly inactive on very light demand. 

Not enough sales for a market trend. Last week live sales sold at 159.00 on a light

test. In Nebraska and the Western Corn belt on Friday trading was slow on light 

demand. In Nebraska compared to last week live sales sold unevenly steady from 157.00

to 159.00. Dressed sales sold steady to 3.00 higher from 245.00 to 248.00. In the 

Western Cornbelt a few live sales sold from 154.00 to 155.00. However, not enough 

sales to fully establish a market trend. Last week live sales sold from 154.00 to 

155.00 and dressed sales sold from 244.00 to 246.00. In Colorado on Friday trading 

was light to moderate on light demand. Compared to last week live sales sold steady 

at 159.00 on a light test.
