Morning National Slaughter Cattle Review for Thursday, 10/2/2014



On Thursday negotiated cash beef type trading was at a standstill in the Southern

and Northern Plains. In the Western Cornbelt trading was limited on light demand. 

A very few live and dressed sales sold from 157.50 to 161.00 and 252.00, 

respectively. Not enough sales for a market trend. Last week in Nebraska live sales 

sold from 157.00-159.00 and dressed sales sold from 245.00-248.00. In Colorado live 

sales sold at 159.00. The last reported market in the Southern Plains and the Western

Cornbelt was 2 weeks ago. In the Southern Plains live sales sold at 159.00. In the 

Western Cornbelt live sales sold from 154.00-155.00 and dressed sales sold from 

244.00-246.00.
