Morning National Slaughter Cattle Review for Friday, 10/24/2014

Friday in the Southern Plains trading was inactive on very light demand. Not enough 

sales for a market trend. The last reported market was on Thursday with a light test

of live sales at 170.00. On Friday in Nebraska and the Western Cornbelt trading was 

moderate on moderate to good demand. In Nebraska live sales sold steady at 170.00 

when compared to the last reported market on Thursday. Dressed sales sold 7.00 higher 

at 265.00 with a few at 266.00 when compared to last week. In the Western Cornbelt 

when compared to the last reported market on Thursday live sales sold 2.00 to 3.00 

higher at 170.00. Dressed sales compared to last week sold 6.00 to 7.00 higher from 

264.00 to 265.00. On Friday in Colorado trading was limited on light demand. Compared

to Thursday the last reported market a few live sales sold steady at 170.00.
