Slaughter Cattle Open, Mid-Session and Close for 07/09/2014  

Receipts:  100

   Compared to last week, a light test of slaughter cows sold 2.00-3.00 higher 
with slaughter bulls 3.00-5.00 higher.  Slaughter steers and heifers were not 
tested. 

   Slaughter Cows:

Boning           80-85    102.00-112.00    114.00-121.50       100.00

   Slaughter Bulls:  Yield Grade 1-2  1365-2000 lbs 120.00-132.00, high dressing 
140.50-144.00, low dressing 112.00-120.00.

   Feeder/Stocker Cows:  Medium and Large 1-2  2-4 year old open cows and 
heiferettes (mostly black) 950-1150 lbs 119.00-137.00.

   Bred Cows:  Medium and Large 1-2 pkg 5-6 year old 1425 lb average to good 
quality black 2nd-3rd stage bred cows 1975.00; pkg similar short and solid 
mouthed 1415 lb 2nd stage bred cows 1750.00 per head.
