Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for Wednesday, March 6, 2013
Receipts: 1668 Last Week: N/A Year Ago: N/A
Compared to Last Sale: No price trend analysis available on feeder steers and
heifers due to limited receipts in prior weeks, however a weaker undertone was
noted. No trend available on slaughter cows and bulls, however a higher
undertone was noted. Trading activity was moderate to active on good buyer
demand. The supply consisted of 89 percent feeder cattle with the balance being
slaughter cows and bulls. The feeder cattle supply was comprised of
approximately 47 percent steers and 53 percent heifers. About 79 percent of the
feeder supply weighted over 600 lbs.
