Compared to last week, slaughter steers and heifers traded 2.00 to
2.50 higher. Slaughter Holstein steers traded 2.00 to 2.50 higher.
Slaughter cows and slaughter bulls both traded 2.00 higher. Feeder
cattle were mostly 4.00 to 10.00 higher. Slaughter steers accounted
for 9 percent of the run; slaughter Holstein steers 8 percent;
slaughter heifers 14 percent; slaughter cows 28 percent; slaughter
bulls 3 percent; and feeder cattle 38 percent. In the feeder
supply, steers 24 percent; Holstein steers 7 percent; heifers 36
percent; and bulls 33 percent. Feeder cattle over 600 lbs 41
percent.
