Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 02/09/2013

Receipts:  4370    Two Weeks Ago:  4880    Year Ago:  0

First reported feeder sale in recent weeks a trend is not
applicable.  Very large crowd of buyers and spectators at
today’s auction supporting the Greater Midwest Livestock
Auction Contest (GMLAC).  Thirty one contestants auctioned
for the 2013 Champion title.  Offerings consisted of loads
and part loads of native Sandhills calves and feeder, many
sold in light to medium flesh.  Some offerings qualified
for NHTC and drug free programs.  Supply included 42 percent
steers, 58 percent heifers, and 60 percent of total offerings
weighing over 600 pounds.
