Afternoon National Slaughter Cattle Review as of 2:00 pm Wednesday
Trade was mostly inactive Wednesday morning on light to moderate demand in the
Southern Plains. Not enough sales for an adequate market test. The latest
established market was last week with live sales at 122.00. In Nebraska trade was
slow on light to moderate demand on Wednesday morning with early dressed sales from
192.00-193.00. Late afternoon dressed sales are now trading at 195.00. Last week in
Nebraska, live sales traded from 121.00-123.00. Trade was inactive on light demand
in Colorado. Last week live sales traded at 123.00. In the Western Cornbelt, trade
was slow on light to moderate demand on Wednesday morning. Not enough sales at any
one price level to establish a market. The latest established market was last week
with live sales from 121.00-122.00 with dressed sales from 192.00-194.00.
