Afternoon National Slaughter Cattle Review as of 2:00 pm Monday
Thus far for Monday, negotiated cash trade was mostly inactive on light demand in the
Southern and Northern Plains as well as the Western Cornbelt. Not enough sales in any
region for an adequate market test. The latest established market in the Southern
Plains was last week, with live sales at 120.00. In Nebraska for the previous week,
live sales traded from 120.00-122.00 with dressed sales mostly at 192.00. Last week
in Colorado, live sales traded from 121.00-122.00. In the Western Cornbelt last week,
live sales traded from 120.00-121.00 with dressed sales from 190.00-194.00.
